Three Learning Paradigms

Looking at learning theory helps us become better teachers by allowing us to see what different people feel learning is. Three major Learning Paradigms are:

Behaviorism: Stimulus-response. All behavior caused by external stimuli (operant conditioning). All behavior can be explained without the need to consider internal mental states or consciousness.

Cognitivism: Mental function can be understood

Constructivism: Learning is an active, constructive process.
